These heifers are consigned to the MN Shorthorn Sale

Top Notch Cowboy’s Carrie (x4274499)
Born 4/14/2018. Roan. Polled. THF, PHAF, DSF. Moderate framed with a good set of EPD’s.
This heifer is pictured below in her “everyday clothes” on November 9th. She is sired by our
All-American bull, “Top Notch American Cowboy”. Her extended pedigree includes some of the greats … WHR Sonny, Dunbeacon Venture, Eionmor Mr Gus 80C, DPH Contender, and JSVT Outback. Carrie would make a nice show heifer for a 4-H youth as she is already broke to lead and tie. She has good hair, straight legs, and a beautiful roan color. Weaning weight on September 7th was 520 pounds. CHV

Top Notch Tartan Faye (4274498)
Born 4/12/2018. Red w/ white marks. Horned. THF, PHAF, DSF. Long bodied, strong topped, straight legged with good EPD’s. Tartan Faye’s dam is an own daughter of TM Gus, and this cow is the only “fall calver” that I retained when Lynn died in 2014. This dam, Top Notch Tartan Lady Gus, calved in September of that year (2014). Using natural service, she has calved every year since and was not held over. This dam’s calving date has moved up to April 2018 and her calving interval is 341 days! WOW! What a set of fertility genetics that have been passed on to this heifer, Tartan Faye! Weaning weight was 500 pounds on September 7th. CHV
